Does your normal dose work? If not, talk to your prescribing doctor. Your dose may need to be changed.

The dosage can be adjusted certainly depending on its effectiveness. If you don’t feel that you’re getting the desired results, speak to your doctor right away.

i started off with .5 mg once a day and that wasent enough for me im still fighting my doctor to get a high dose. everyone reacts to drugs differently. the only way i can feel relaxed is on 2 mg of xanax

I take 0.5 as well, but i have to take it every day before bed. There have been times that i just can’t get my mind to shut off and I get up and take another xanax. I would not recomend this. Sometimes 0.5 may not be doing the trick, but unless you have the luxury of sleeping in until noon, DON’T take two 0.5 xanax , they will knock you out like a grizzley bear!
