Valium……..?
I have to get my wisdom teeth out in a few weeks, and the doctor is having me take a 10mg valium before the surgery, but i am getting knocked out too..so why do ihave to take the valium…..i am just confused

Because your dentist doesn’t want you in a panic while he is trying to put you out.
I had my wisdom teeth out with Novocain only. Personally, I think the anesthesia is far worse than the extractions. Mine were even impacted (in the bone) and they came out fine with just the Novocaine.
Perhaps he is going to do something naughty to you while you are knocked out. The valium interferes with the process of forming memories.
The valium will help with any pre surgery anxiety.
