Are Skelaxin And Soma From The Same Class?
I understand that Soma is a CASMR or centrally-acting skeletal muscle relaxant. But what is Skelaxin’s classification?

Skelaxin is in the same class but they have different mechanisms of action.
I posed that question to my drug rep when she came in and she was speechless, had no answer. I guess health care providers aren’t supposed to think in that regard.
Soma works by actually causing skeletal muscle relaxation. Skelaxin works by causing sedation which in turn causes you to rest, and resting causes muscle relaxation. However, I ask you this? If Skelaxin promotes that it is the LEAST sedating of all muscle relaxers, wouldn’t that mean it is the least effective ?
