What Does Smoking Oxycontin Do To Your Teeth?

Posted by admin on Sunday, February 14th, 2010

I recently got out of rehab from oxycontin abuse. When I was smoking it I noticed my gums were bleeding a lot and my teeth were hurting. I have been clean for 2 months and the bleeding went away, but recently I have been waking up with a mouth full of blood and my teeth are killing me again. Is this from the drug or would it be from something else?

I have saw lots of young ppl with their teeth already gone in the front from smoking drugs. They soon get to the point they don’t care about anything but the drug. I am proud of you for getting clean. I would say yes, it is from the drug. Get to a dentist, don’t walk, RUN!

You should go to your dentist. People that stay high all the time often neglect their oral hygiene. You could have gingivitis, but only a dentist could tell you for sure.

Why not go to a dentist and find out for sure.
Congrats on your clean time. Go to a meeting.

Sounds like gingivitis, check with dentist or periodontist.
Congrats on being clean!!!!
Keep your head up
