Well I dont think you should really be comparing the two because morphene is used to control pain, and is highly addictive if not used in the right way, and methadone is used to detox someone off of heroin or other opiates like morphine, and is not supposed to be abused, So you shouldnt be comparing the two at all.

Here is a website that can convert various opiates between each other:http://www.globalrph.com/narcotic.cgi
To quickly answer your questions:
10mg methadone (oral) = 15mg morphine (oral)
30mg methadone (oral) = 45mg morphine (oral)
Of course, you can look up more values for yourself.

The Merck Manual is free online and has conversion information, but I will add a comment of my own.
For single doses, they give the same IM dose for pain relief, BUT, methadone has a slower elimination rate, so the time interval for repeat doses is different. ( Orally the ratio is 20mg Methadone to 30mg Morphine)
Also, when switching from one narcotic to another, when dealing with people on high doses you are conservative, and give only a fraction of the conversion dose to evaluate the effect and work from there.
see table 3:http://www.merck.com/mmpe/sec16/ch209/ch…
