What Can I Take To Replace My Lorazepam?
I have now slowly ween myself completely off the Lorazepam, I am down to taking one 1mg pill a day. I am now looking to replace it with something that would be better on my body, and wont have all the unwanted side effects. I was told to take 5-htp, is there anything else out there that would help? And how long should I wait to start taking something new?

What are you taking it for? For nerves, you can use something called “Hydroxyzine”. Lorazepam is a narcotic and too strong for my DH to use anymore and the Dr has prescribed the above RX for him and it works fine.
I went to Klonopin–Clonazepam (generic). Longer lasting.
ask your frinking doctor!! not us idiots here
Good 4 U ! The stress is the lesser of the evils when it comes to being addicted to that crap!! Try 2 replace it with activity,,Spend more time with those who miss U the most when your not around
Well, kinda depends, you’d probably want to talk to your doctor about it. The thing with 5htp, is its pretty much seratonin, so it would be more of an antidepressant, though it can help with anxiety as well. Lorazepam is a benzodiazepine, which is usually used for more extreme cases of anxiety and panic attacks, so, if you’re looking for something herbal, that you can get without a prescription, maybe GABA or kava kava would work.
If you want something prescription, but not addictive like the benzos, Brenda is right, hydroxyzine (brand name vistaril) works well, I take it myself and helps a lot.
