Is It Safe To Take Lorazepam Four Hours After Receiving A Local Anastetic At The Dentists’ Office?
I had a tooth extracted today and the dentist gave me a localized anasthetic on the left side of the mouth. The effects have since worn off. I usually take 1mg of Lorazepam before bed time to help me sleep. I was wondering if it would be safe to take the Lorazepam tonight in light of the fact that I had a localized anasthetic earlier today?

Absolutely safe. The anaesthetic and the sedative have no interaction together. Besides the anaesthetic has worn off after about 4 hours.
In fact, we often give patients Ativan 1 hour prior to their appointments, and freeze up their mouth during their appointment.
