What Do Lisinopril, Hydrochlorot, And Atenolol Have In Common And Should They Be Taken Together?
My mother is taking all 3 meds for high blood pressure. But her blood pressure is not that high. I am afraid the doc is making her take too much medicine. Atenolol 100mg 1 a day, Hydrochlorot 25mg 1 a day, and Lisinopril 20 mg 3 a day.

As you surmised, those are all antihypertensive medications.
Although some people can control their blood pressure on only one drug, multiple drugs are often necessary to maintain a healthy blood pressure.
Another reason for using multiple drugs is to minimize the side effects from any of them. If you max out the dosage on a particular drug, you may have more side effects. By using lower doses of several drugs, you can sometimes avoid adverse effects of each drug.
It’s good that her pressure is not that high. It looks like the drugs are working.
High blood pressure does not cause symptoms, but it slowly causes heart muscle to build up to the point where it outstrips its blood supply, and causes heart attacks.
It looks like Mom is being well cared for, and unless she’s having problems with passing out, or shortness of breath, I’d leave well enough alone.
