I’m not sure, but Miles was another guy that overcame heroin addiction. He drove himself to his father’s farm in Missouri, locked himself in an upstairs room for a week going through hellish withdrawals, etc. then after a week, emerged in tears, free from heroin. He kicked it, and that was in the ’50′s I think…
Yes, very rare cases like Joe Pass in Jazz world.
But, it is true story.
I like his way of living and respect him forever.
