How Long Does It Take For Diazepam To Start Working For A Dog??
My dog has seizures and she is on phenobarb and I am supposed to give her diazepam when she has a seizure.. I have never really known how long it takes before the pill starts taking effect??? Is it 30 minutes to an hour?? Thanks for the help.

Yes. about 15-30 minutes.
Although, it does work a little faster when used as a suppository, which when a pet is having a seizure, this is the prefered method.
You don’t want to go anywhere near a dog’s mouth when they are having a seizure, you will get bit. Plus, you don’t want to run the risk of them inhaling it into their lungs, vomiting it, or choking on it.
