Why Did I Develop A Codeine Allergy After Taking It For 33yrs?
I have chronic pain in my leg and the pain specialist won’t give me the adequate pain relief i need so i supplement it with codeine.
Today I had an anaphylactic reaction to the codeine.
What am I to do?

It could have been somthing else you ingested today.
Sensitisation. After prolonged exposure to some chemicals, you may develop an allergy to it.
don’t take codeine again unless you plan on dying. Perhaps you should be a pain specialist for your leg
