It's an "upper" so yes, the euphoric effects tend to make the user more "open" and chatty and also a intensified tendency for truth when on the drug. Users tend to admit dark secrets etc. they normally would not when sober. I doubt egotistical rather than a false sense of self worth. Permantly would be dependant on a level of addiction. When coming down effects might last 3 to 5 days of being down in the dumps and irritable while the long time addicts personality would be permantly changed as an emotional craving would last indefinately and therefore the mental effects of having to accept one as an "addict" that would also come.
