highly addictive and a ***** to get off of. the withdrawals are a nightmare…literally.
stay away if you can.
there are many non-addictive meds that treat anxiety.
.
i had it as a premed, prior to surgery… back in 92.
wow what a hit… im an ardent potter… i lie to get stoned, but this ativan… two blueys banged me sideways… far more gluey than vallium… spaced and battered, so ******** stoned that nothing else mattered…
which was good as i was about to have an amputation… best pre med i ever had…
I had 1mg as a pre-med once. I didn’t give a stuff! Great stuff, but very addictive unfortunately.
yeah, the only side effects i noticed was i wasn’t really interested in sex as much as i used to be and when i did have sex it took me forever to orgasm
I tried Ativan once and it made me crazy…no joke..I started seeing and hearing people that were not there…needless to say I only took that once, and I will never touch it again.
I have it for panic attacks.
In my experience, it is only mildly helpful if I take one in the middle of a panic attack.
However, if I am just having really bad anxiety or I feel like I’m going to flip out soon and I take it, it seems to be more effective.
Lorazepam is vary rarely used now except as a pre-medication before surgery. It is probably the most addictive of all the benzodiazepines, so much so that diazepam (Valium ) is usually used to aid the withdrawal process!
its a sedative.treats anxiety. well, you’ll experience dizziness or weakmess.sometimes headache and sleep disturbance and even a feeling of depression…
it is a sedative. along the lines of valium
Ativan is for like anxiety. it helps calm you down it’s like a mild form of xanax
I knew someone who was prescribed Ativan, the problems was when trying to come off them, they seem to be very addictive unfortunately.
I was on ativan for anxeity. A very low dose though. So it didnt really do much anything for me. Once I was already having a full blown pannic atack it didnt seem to help much. I dont really know what advice you want but I hope this helps.
PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH IT !!!!!!!!! . MY MUM WENT ON IT FOR 2 WEEKS TO CALM HER NERVES THEN ANOTHER 2 AND SO ON .17 YEARS LATER WITH A LOT OF COLD TURKEY AND HARD WORK SHE WAS FREE OF IT . WOULD NT WISH IT ON MY WORST ENEMY.I THOUGHT IT HAD BEEN BANED.
i was on it and it does take some getting used to but i find once i take it i start to just mellow out. dont take to many at once because you will be weird. i took a lot and forgot two days but was very mellow for them lol. just remember under the tongue. im me if you want more information. ive been taking this for 6 years so i know most of the ups and downs lol.
as for side effects you may feel funny taking it but i believe thats more of the person just not wanting to admit they need some extra help. think of it as a vitimin and it wont seem such a hassel to take it. just stick with it for atleast 3 weeks before dismissing it off as crap.
I’ve never been prescribed it or anything btu pete wentz overdosed on it a couple years ago. You could ask him if you see him while your out.
