I think that this is really NOT a good idea to take Ambien during the daytime. When taking Ambien you are supposed to have at least 8 hours of non-interrupted sleep time. She could be developing a dependancy to it. It's very far fetched to take Ambien JUST for a nap. After all this is a sleep aid, it's for a whole night's sleep. 8 hours, not a two hour power nap. You should suggest to her not to take such things for a nap, if she's really having that much trouble sleeping and napping, she should see a doctor. Ambien has been known to be dependant.
